The above Colonial Expenditure for 1851, includes £1,265 78. 0d. being £1,211 9s. 9d. paid in London by the Agent, during the period from 1st October, 1850, to 30th September, 1851, and £53 17s. 3d. paid by the Paymaster General, classed as follows:-- Item 1, ESTABLISHMENTS, £1,231 16s. 3d, of which £1,089 188, 5d. Salaries to Officers on Sick Leave, and £141 17s. 10d. Office Contingencies; item 2, PENSIONS, £20; item 8, HOSPITALS, £13 10s. 9d.
